Карамора is a Russian alternative history thriller television series created by director Danila Kozlovsky. It premiered on January 20, 2022 on the video streaming service Start. The film takes place in an alternate history world in pre-revolutionary Russia at the beginning of the 20th century.
A young Russian anarchist nicknamed Karamora loses his beloved in a clash with members of a secret organization that protects the interests of those who have ruled the world for centuries.
Now he is ready to do anything to avenge her. Having discovered the enemy’s greatest secret, Karamora realizes that the power of those he opposes is far beyond human capabilities, vampires.
The plot of the film is partly based on literary works by Russian authors from the “Silver Age”, permeated with decadence, mysticism and a premonition of an imminent revolution.
