The press service of the administration of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug congratulated the talented participants of the folk song ensemble “Peresvet” of the Salekhard Children’s School of Arts. They have become laureates of the 10th All-Russian Choral Festival, which took place in Moscow.
The event was attended by folk choirs from more than 70 regions. Within the framework of the festival, competitive auditions, gala concerts, and master classes of leading choral conductors were held. More than 20,000 contestants from thousands of folk choirs participated in the qualifying stages. 18 children’s and 26 adult groups reached the final, which was held on November 17 in the gala concert format at the Moscow Victory Museum.
The Salekhard collective was awarded in the category “Children’s educational choirs”. Yamal residents performed the song “My Russia” to the music of composer V. Smirnov and the words of poetess O. Rombert — an excerpt of the performance was published by the telegram channel “Yamal. Official.”
