Alizée

Alizée Jacotey, known professionally as Alizée, is a French singer who became one of the standout pop voices of the early 2000s. Born on 21 August 1984 in Ajaccio, Corsica, she showed an early interest in music and dance, and her career began to take shape when she was discovered after appearing on a French talent show in 1999.

Her breakthrough came with the single “Moi... Lolita,” followed by her debut album Gourmandises, both of which made her an international pop sensation. She quickly built a reputation for a polished style that blended catchy pop melodies with a distinctive image, and she went on to release several successful albums under the guidance of Mylène Farmer and Laurent Boutonnat.

Over the years, Alizée expanded beyond her first wave of fame, balancing music with family life and occasional returns to the spotlight. She remains closely associated with the sound and style that made her famous, while also being recognized for her longevity in French pop and her enduring popularity with audiences who grew up with her early hits.
