The project gained widespread attention with the release of its debut single, "Dom" ("Home"), in 2023. The song's retro-inspired production and heartfelt message resonated with audiences, becoming the duo's signature work and appearing in numerous films and television series. Kai & Hetaira subsequently expanded their repertoire with singles and extended plays such as Iskusstvo ("Art"), Lad, Zima ("Winter"), and Do i Posle ("Before and After"), while steadily growing their audience through streaming platforms and social media. Their popularity was further boosted by reaching the finals of the Russian television music competition Nasha Novaya Muzyka ("Our New Music"), introducing the duo to a nationwide audience.

Beyond studio recordings, Kai & Hetaira have established themselves as a notable live act, performing at major festivals including Stereoleto, VK Fest, and Leningrad Bridges, as well as headlining their own concerts across Russia.
