Anton von Lucke

Anton von Lucke is a German actor born on September 30, 1989, in Hamburg, Germany. He trained at the renowned Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin, graduating in 2015.

He began his career in theater, making his debut at the Deutsches Theater Berlin before joining the ensemble of the Deutsches Theater Göttingen. His film debut came with the title role in François Ozon's Frantz (2016), which premiered at the Venice Film Festival. He gained wider recognition for his role as Stefan Jänicke in the acclaimed series Babylon Berlin, and later starred in Great Freedom (2021) and All Quiet on the Western Front (2022).

In 2022 he took on his first leading film role in Chaos and Silence, for which he was nominated as Best Actor of the Year by the German Film Critics Association in 2025. He also starred as Jacob Davis in the ARD historical miniseries Levi Strauss and the Fabric of Dreams (2025).
