Mohammad Eslami, the director of AEOI

Eslami explained that the technology, which uses plasma to disinfect dried fruits, is expected to be applied to pistachios. The processing of pistachio seeds is an important step in reducing losses and improving seed quality. He expressed the hope that this will encourage widespread adoption of the technology in the agriculture sector.

The plant is proposed to process up to 6,000 tons per year in the future. However, it is not limited to pistachios and can also be used to process almonds, peanuts, corn, cereals, oil seeds, and pulses. Each processing unit has a capacity of three tonnes or more per hour.
