He said the Israeli attacks, which targeted nuclear and civilian sites across Iran, had unified the Iranian people across ethnic and political lines in support of a decisive military response.
Qalibaf emphasized that the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and the Army demonstrated their strength under the leadership of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, dismantling the myth of Israeli invulnerability. He described the current conflict as a hybrid war centered on cognitive tactics, calling the Israeli regime \"barbaric\" and the aggression an opportunity to consolidate national unity.
The Iranian retaliation, dubbed Operation True Promise III, followed Israel’s U.S.-backed strikes which led to the deaths of senior Iranian military leaders and civilians. Among the martyred were top figures such as Major General Mohammad Baqeri and IRGC Commander Hossein Salami. Iran has vowed continued resistance until what Qalibaf termed \"the enemy’s punishment and regret\" is achieved.
