The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Ground Forces have conducted a large-scale and specialized training exercise in Iran’s western province of Kermanshah as part of efforts to enhance its combat readiness and prepare for potential security threats to the country.
The exercise, codenamed “Payambar-e-A’azam 19”, began in a combat area in western Iran on Saturday with the participation of various special units and divisions of the IRGC Ground Forces, particularly from Mirza Kuchak Khan brigades.
During the initial phase of the exercise, various scenarios for rapid response operations were tested. The swift transfer of troops and military equipment to the training area was the first step in the exercise.
As part of its routine training schedule, Iran’s military regularly conducts exercises in various parts of the country to test its weapons and equipment and assess its combat readiness.
Officials in the country have emphasized that Iran will not hesitate to enhance its military capabilities, including missile power, for defensive purposes, and that its defense capabilities will not be subject to negotiation.
